虽然游戏业界里跳槽和改行的大佬不少，但感觉年末年初是特别的频繁。根据媒体报道，前几日英国游戏产业杂志Develop官网披露大红大紫的手游《纪念碑谷》首席设计师Ken Wong将离开位于伦敦的Ustwo工作室。

Ken Wong现居伦敦，出生在澳大利亚但有着华人血统，父母是马来西亚的华人。他在南澳大利亚大学多媒体专业（Multimedia Studies from University of South Australia）取得了学士学位。喜欢的导演是詹姆斯・卡梅隆（《阿凡达》导演），他教会Ken Wong敢于去尝试看似不可能并疯狂的事。喜欢的价值理念是苹果手机的极简设计和操作，给用户提供更少的选择，更舒适的体验，以及更高效的功能。喜欢的独立游戏开发者是华人制作人陈星汉，将过去的生活经验放进游戏开发，成为情感联系创建的游戏制作人先驱。

Ken Wong曾在前年来到中国，参加GDC China 2014并与现场开发者讲述了游戏设计的一些心灵感悟，Ken Wong最被人深刻铭记的是他“无视商业利益的艺术情怀”，让中国开发者纷纷表示境界太高，相差太远，满是辛酸和泪水。对于这种浪漫主义追求，大家感兴趣的话可以看看本站开发者的故事其中一期对Ken Wong文章的翻译，就会发现这位设计师的确对游戏行业保持极高的理想。

Ustwo工作室位于伦敦，早年为某些大公司做UI设计起家，现在除了制作游戏之外，同时也在制作应用以及其他电子商品。Ustwo工作室现在专注的新作是VR游戏《Land’s End》（中文译名：遗忘边际），画面精美，容易操作。与《纪念碑谷》相比有些相同之处，也有些不同之处。《纪念碑谷》是以建筑为主题，《遗忘边际》是以风景为主题。

Ustwo工作室总监丹・格雷（Dan Gray）在接受采访时Ken Wong将离职的消息：“我们目前有几个尚待验证的想法。如果一切顺利，我们也许能够同时进行2-3个项目的研发。”他说。“遗憾的是，我们的主设计师Ken Wong将在几个月内回澳大利亚，他太想念澳大利亚了。所以Ustwo肯定会招募一位新的创意主管。”

Ken Wong离开了帮助他实现理想的Ustwo，虽然不知道原因是否那么单纯，但多少还是令玩家感到可惜。希望这位设计师未来还将找到制作自己心目中完美游戏的舞台，同时也希望Ustwo工作室以后推出更多优秀游戏和应用。
